Each American Roadside location is corporate-owned and operated. We stand by each and every one of our stores, and our management team is highly involved in the success and management of each store so that YOU, our customer, have the best burger experience.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, American Roadside is led by Rich LaVecchia, Chairman and CEO. Rich has over 35 years experience in the food industry, and is his happiest when he is biting into a juicy American Roadside burger. He graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel/Restaurant Administration in 1982 and, in 1986, started Poseidon Enterprises, a specialty food distributor to restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores. Food is his passion, and he’s expressing it through American Roadside.
As an added benefit to all of American Roadside, Rich’s highly-skilled children helped perfect the menu at ages 13 and 8. These master testers didn’t stop until everything was “just right,” with the deliciousness of burgers, the crispiness of the French fries, and the sweetness of the milkshakes (extra cherries on top for Lola).
In addition to these master taste-testers, the menu was developed by Mr. Doug Allen, VP of Operations. Doug is a Certified Executive Chef and 1980 graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He has over 30 years of experience in the food and hospitality industries.
